| Interstate Scholastic Tournament: The HHCF Interstate Scholastic Championship will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at the Cow Place in San Francisco, CA. Our tournament draws players from across the US and we look forward to the growing number of players we will see at this competition. This year we are proud to announce our esteemed tournament directors: Dr. Alan Kirshner and Dr. Salman Azhar, both are highly respected in the chess community and known for being extraordinary Tournament Directors. With Dr. Kirshner and Dr. Azhar on board, you can be assured that your experience will be positive and fun. This year we will host the following competition levels: Youth, College & Adult Celebrity Guests: The HHCF is always looking for more celebrity guests. If you represent a celebrity (athlete, chess, music, actor/actress) who would like to participate, please complete the celebrity inquiry form. Scholarship Tournament Players (Invitation Only): This is a unique part of the Chess Kings Invitational. All scholarship players are invitation only and has limited space. If you would like your students to be considered for the Scholarship Tournament, please visit complete the Scholarship Request Form. General Admission: Hey, we get it, you're not a ready to commit to the game of chess. But you would love to come see the celebrity chess game as well as all the other events scheduled for the day, you can buy your tickets directly at the Cow Palace box office or online here. *General admission tickets go on sale September 21st |
